Lancashire Renewables Limited is establishing a £32m framework for the leasing of mobile plant equipment and associated services. The framework will support the operation of waste treatment facilities and includes a wide range of equipment such as wheeled loaders, telehandlers, forklift trucks, material handlers and shredders.

With access available to local authorities, waste disposal authorities and other public sector organisations across the UK, this framework could present significant opportunities for plant leasing providers and specialist equipment suppliers.

Mobile plant equipment leasing framework

Lancashire Renewables Limited operates major waste treatment facilities in Leyland and Thornton, processing household and residual waste on behalf of local authorities. To support these operations, the organisation is seeking providers of leased mobile plant equipment through a new four-year framework agreement.

The framework covers a range of specialist equipment including wheeled loaders, telehandlers, forklift trucks, material handlers and shredders. Whilst the initial requirement relates to Lancashire Renewables’ own operations, the framework may also be used by a broad range of public sector organisations throughout the UK.

  • Plant and machinery leasing companies
  • Material handling equipment providers
  • Telehandler suppliers
  • Forklift truck leasing specialists
  • Wheeled loader suppliers
  • Waste management equipment providers
  • Shredder manufacturers and leasing companies
  • Fleet management specialists

The ability for public sector organisations across the UK to utilise this framework significantly increases its potential value beyond Lancashire Renewables’ own requirements. The framework also allows for an unlimited number of suppliers, making it an attractive opportunity for SMEs looking to gain access to future public sector call-off contracts within the waste, recycling and environmental sectors.
